How do you pick someone up when they are on the ground?

RE: Basic Controls
Ah, I've been using keyboard. Will have to get a session with the controller to be certain, hadn't realized there were two buttons that could be used for grapples.

But the question is, are we going to be able to use the two buttons for grapple and eventually be able to use the directional keys in conjunction? So up A, left A, etc.

More grapples, more fun!

RE: Basic Controls
These are pretty good controls, however is there a way to change them if we want? Just would feel more natural having A being linked to grapple, X to strike.

RE: Basic Controls
i think we all would like a way to remap the controls at least on the keyboard, they are quite stretched and far from each other i pesonally would love to put them the way i played No Mercy on my emulator.

RE: Basic Controls
Yeah the game really needs a remapping option and some form of in-game controls list. I was also expecting it to play more like the AKI games with up/down/left/right/no direction modifiers versus having the tap vs hold setup while in the grapple.

I also agree on having grapple default to A and strike default to X.

dave mentioned that right now you only have tap vs hold, but aki had that as well, only they had more animations that went with the direction.

RE: Basic Controls
Hey Dave, I was wondering if there will be an option to remap controls for the Xbox 360 controller in a future version. Or even better, if it wouldn't be much of a hassle for you, I suggest adding one more default control scheme:

Tap A + stick direction - Weak strike (adding stick direction to strikes could be nice for strike variations)
Hold A - Strong strike
Tap B + stick direction - Weak/quick grapple (Implementing instant grapples without entering a clutch would be nice imo)
Hold B + stick direction - Strong grapple clutch
Tap B - Pin (on downed opponent)
Tap X - Pick up objects, climb on/leave apron, climb turnbuckle (if close)
Hold X - Enter/exit ring
Tap Y - Run/stop running, climb turnbuckle

Rest, I leave it to you. This is just a suggestion, though. Default controls are already easy to pick up, I'm just stating my perfect control scheme (similar to HCTP/early SVR games in some way)

RE: Basic Controls
Thank you for your feedback! We're going to begin offering basic button remapping in one of the very first free updates. It will hopefully expand along with the rest of the needed game improvements.
