RE: Ring Mat
Here is the NWO ring from soul out 97 and a NWO red version. Im not sure if you wanted something this simple or more of a themed ring.

I think im going to spend some time working on a real ring template for photoshop. Right now I have just been using a desaturated and compressed leather texture for the mat fibers.

Edit:I forgot to drop this. I took one of the PXW logos and crapped out a quick idea.

What kind of textures are you using for the background? NWO matts.

RE: Ring Mat
Basically in photoshop (or other photo editing program like GIMP) I have 3 main layers. First layer is a black and white image to give it some texture. Second is a layer of color. Third is the logo. You have to play around with color choice and opacity to get what your looking for.

Here is the break down of the RoH Ring layers. I removed the transparency so you can see what each layer is doing better.

Color Layer

Color Over Texture

With Logo

I looks really odd without playing with the transparency but this is a basic breakdown.

Here is what is should look like

Once the community starts moving more I will make a real step by step tutorial.

I think my only complaint is that the logo isn't grungy or worn enough (maybe give it a bit of transparency so it picks up the texture?); I've been to a few live ROH shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom years ago and I remember the canvas being VERY well-worn visually in all aspects, especially the logo which was indeed dead center.

In general, some of these canvas mods (the stitched PWX and the G+ ones, especially) should add some texture to the logo, otherwise it feels too plasticky/vinyl-y and new.

Toss them in the game they have more texture. Your right though they could use a bit more. The RoH mats get very worn because the use the same one for a while.

If you do not have texture in your program it is the same as opacity.
